The main components of a geothermal system are the ground loop, which is placed in the ground below the frost line, a ground-source heat pump and the delivery system for the air, which can be ductless indoor blowers or a ductwork system. To cool your home, the heat pump absorbs the heat in your indoor air, transfers the heat to the heat pump using environmentally-friendly anti-freeze, and then the heat pump releases the heat to the ground loop, where the heat is absorbed by the surrounding soil.<\/p>\n
